Number of border crossings up

Chisinau, 12 August /MOLDPRES/- Last week, at the border crossing points, the flow of people was over 566 thousand crossings, up by 21 thousand crossings than the previous week.

In the morning, starting at 05:30, in Palanca border crossing point there was an increased flow of vehicles. By 09.00, traffic was normal.

According to experience of previous years, intense border traffic values are attested throughout August.

The Border Police announced that in order to clear the traffic and not allow the formation of rows, the number of employees was increased at the border. The four border and customs authorities in Moldova and Ukraine are operating at full capacity.

Last week, the most visited border crossing points were Leuseni, Chisinau International Airport and Sculeni.
