In the context, the chief of executive has mentioned that as to solve the issues faced by young people and create opportunities for development at home, it is needed an efficient cooperation on several dimensions – education, jobs, entrepreneurship and civic participation. "We need to improve the quality and relevance of education. We know that you want to make the curriculum more flexible, an objective that we have proposed, including by piloting the alternative framework plan in several schools. We also aim to transform the technical vocational education, so that it becomes useful and attractive for young people, train the necessary specialists in the labour market, which, at the same time, can obtain sufficient income for a dignified standard of living,” said Maia Sandu.
The PM has emphasised that the fight against corruption is a basic objective of the Government, combating corruption as a priority even at the university level. The head of the Cabinet of Ministers has also discussed the need to support young entrepreneurs, so that young people can open their businesses easier, as well as improve the internship programme in public institutions and companies, so that young people can learn necessary and applicable things.
"I congratulate all the young people who have been involved so far and I invite as many as possible ones to get involved. We have promoted young people wherever we have been. We supported the establishment of student councils in schools and insisted that the administrations of the educational institutions involve the students in the processes of discussing the school budget. We have succeeded in bringing young people to Parliament and I invite you to discuss with them, because they promote your interests and you can solve many problems together. We want you to stay home, find as many opportunities as possible here, but also contribute to creating opportunities. Let us work together to make Moldova a place where young people have opportunities for professional and personal development and feel fulfilled”, said PM Sandu.
