Three thousand people purchased home through First Home program

Chisinau, 13 August /MOLDPRES/- Three thousand people have acquired a home through the First home program, since its launch until now. At the same time, the total amount of loans granted by banks in this regard is about 1.5 billion lei.

According to the Ministry of Finance, out of the 3,000 beneficiaries, 2,129 are young families and 871 are unmarried young people. The average age of applicants is 31 years.

At the same time, the average area of the purchased homes is 60 square meters, and their average value is 588.25 thousand lei. Most homes purchased through the Program are located in cities, the number of people who chose to buy a house in villages is only 193.

The program was launched in March 2018. Finance Minister Natalia Gavrilița said that the program will continue for as long as it is for the benefit of the citizens and is carried out in a fiscal prudence framework.
