Reconstruction of district stadium starts in southern city of Moldova

Chisinau, 13 August /MOLDPRES/ – The authorities of Vulcanesti district started the reconstruction work of the locality stadium. It will be allocated the amount of MDL 1.5 million on it.

According to Vasilisa Velixar, head of Vulcanesti district, the project envisages the reconstruction of the stands and creation of modern conditions for an efficient functioning of sports edifice.

“The Vulcanesti stadium was put into operation in 1978 and since then, it has never been repaired in a capital mode. However, lately the stadium has no longer been functional, it was even dangerous for life. The project of stadium renovation has been elaborated in 2019, when there have taken place the tenders necessary for public procurement, and the works are already underway”, specified Vasilisa Velixar, quoted by gagauzinfo.md.

The programme, meant to develop the sport in Vulcanesti district, includes several construction works on perimeter of stadium, renovation of the stands, landscaping works, etc.

"The reconstructed stadium will be equipped with new toilets and meet the modern requirements, making sports occupations much more comfortable," said head of Vulcanesti district.

After completion of the modernisation and reconstruction project, the Vulcanesti stadium will have 840 seats in the stands, as well as optimal conditions for the ones which practice sports or will participate in competitions organised here.
