More access roads, courtyards renovated in western municipality of Moldova

Chisinau, 13 August /MOLDPRES/ – There were repaired courts of more residential blocks in Ungheni municipality as part of a project to rehabilitate the access roads, carried out by the local authorities. The works included the renovation of sidewalks and arrangement of parking lots.

According to the Ungheni city hall’s information and media communication service, the aforementioned project has 04 stages, the first being almost completed. The specialists in domain say that this is one of the largest programmes for reconstruction of access roads and courtyards in Ungheni city, and in some block yards there have not been carried aut any repair works since they were built, that is for almost 40 years.

The residents of the blocks where the works were completed confirm that the situation has improved considerably, and the courts have become unrecognisable. The mothers with small children have been especially pleased. The pits and mud are no longer impediments to riding bikes, strollers and scooters.

"The repair and arrangement of the courtyards of residential blocks is one of the most important infrastructure projects, which was launched in 2018. Then we managed to repair the access roads to the courtyards of Ungheni municipality and arrange more parching lots. We aim to rehabilitate all the courts that are in a deplorable state. Also, we urge citizens to show patience and understanding. It is a time – consuming process. We try to identify for each court a personalised approach and solve the existing issues: where it is possible, to increase the space for parking, create leaks for rainwater, clear the trees that impede the development of the works. Also, repeated auctions, determined by the lack of bidders, is another cause of the delay of reconstruction works”, specified Alexandru Ambros, mayor of Ungheni municipality.

On 27 July, it took place the auction for the third stage, and it will be held the tender procedure for the fourth stage of the project to repair the access roads in the courtyards of residential blocks in Ungheni city, on 15 August.
