Turkish charity organisation helps needy citizens of autonomy unit in Moldova

Chisinau, 13 August /MOLDPRES/ – Three hundred disadvantaged families from UTA Gagauz – Yeri received food aid and food packages on Monday, 12 August. The donation was made possible due to a collaboration of autonomy authorities with the management of organisation: Turkish red crescent and it was offered on occasion of a religious holiday.
The Turkish organisation distributed 100 packages in each of three districts of Gagauz autonomy – Comrat, Ceadar – Lunga and Vulcanesti. In the remote localities the distribution of packages was supported by the local administrations.
During recent 04 years, this organisation has granted free social assistance to the inhabitants of autonomy, especially the ones from disadvantaged categories.
Since the beginning of 2019, the Turkish foundation has carried out several charitable actions in Gagauzia. Earlier, the partners in Turkey distributed to disadvantaged citizens packages with basic necessities, hearing aids, organised a charity dinner for the elderly in the region, etc.
