Defense Ministry, State Protection and Guard Service conclude cooperation agreement

Chisinau, 14 August /MOLDPRES/- The Defense Ministry and the State Protection and Guard Service (SPPS) concluded a collaboration agreement on 14 August.

The document was signed by Defense Minister Pavel Voicu and SPPS director Iaroslav Martin. It notes that the structures will cooperate in strengthening the national security and defense system. They will jointly implement the provisions of national defense and sectoral strategies and policies in the areas of national defense and security, crisis management and emergency situations, training and professional development of personnel, technical security of infrastructure and others.

In order to implement the document, the two institutions will organize visits, consultations and working meetings, exchange of experience and information obtained from official sources. Also, the representatives of the structures will participate jointly in training activities, courses, exercises and workshops in the areas of competence, as well as in specific projects and programs.

The agreement was concluded for a period of three years and aims to create the legal framework necessary for the cooperation in order to carry out the state missions of defense and security.
