Moldovan SP suggests to initiate consultative platform for representatives of civil society

Chisinau, 14 August /MOLDPRES/ – Speaker of Parliament, Zinaida Greceanii, has proposed the launch of a Consultative platforms of civil society representatives to the Parliament of Moldova to ensure transparency of the legislative process, as well as effective cooperation with citizens, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported. 

"For the legislative process to be as efficient and transparent as possible, and the reforms to correspond with the issues, needs and expectations of citizens, I consider it necessary to ensure communication between the representatives of civil society, SP and elected MPs," said Zinaida Greceanii.

The SP has called on the civil society organisations to be actively involved in working with Parliament to identify the most suitable solutions for development of Moldova. Zinaida Greceanii has stressed the need for a mechanism established by common agreement for systemic and functional collaboration. In this context, she proposed the creation of an initiative group, made up of MPs and representatives of civil society, for elaboration of format, establishing the principles and modalities in which the Consultative Platform of the representatives of the civil society will work to the Parliament of Moldova.
