Eleven MPs fined following checks carried out by national authority of integrity in Moldova

Chisinau, 14 August /MOLDPRES/ – Eleven MPs of ex – Parliament were fined after integrity inspectors found irregularities in statements of assets.
According to data of the National Integrity Authority /ANI/, after verifying the declarations of assets and personal interests for 2018 of MPs of the 9th Legislature, the integrity inspectors initiated 15 contravention cases and 19 asset controls. Some of MPs of the former Parliament (11) have already paid their fines, having been drafted in contravention minutes. Four other contravention cases are still under examination. The total amount of the fines applied by the court up to the present moment is MDL 28,000.
The verifications were carried out on the basis of the Provision of the head of ANI of 21 May 2019, which provides for control of declarations of assets and personal interests submitted by the subjects of declaration for 2018. In the same context, there were verified about 400 judges and it will be verified over 700 prosecutors.
