Moldovan minister of defence denounces more illegalities in ministry

Chisinau, 15 August /MOLDPRES/ – Defence Minister, Pavel Voicu, has denounced on Thursday, 15 August, at a press conference more criminal schemes and illegalities he discovered at the ministry. The official has specified that he will come with notifications on this subject to law enforcement bodies, including the General Prosecutor's Office (PG).
According to Voicu, since the proclamation of independence and until now the leadership of the institution has offered 77 weapons, of which 57 in recent years. “Some weapons were offered to political leaders. And others have benefited even the former defence ministers,” said Voicu.
According to quoted source, another criminal scheme aimed at the decommissioning of assets of institution started in 2015. The trucks belonging to the ministry were disposed of and sent to management of training centres after which they were sold to third parties.
The minister has also said that he found aut schemes that sold ammunition and goods received by institution from donations.
