Investigation commission's mandate extended

Chisinau, 16 August /MOLDPRES/- The parliament extended today with one month the term of activity of the Commission of Inquiry to elucidate all the circumstances of the devaluation of the banking system in the Republic of Moldova and the investigation of bank fraud.
According to the informative note, the complexity of the information from the hearings at the meetings of the Commission of Inquiry, as well as the need to notify institutions take the measures to test and verify the information collected and the specific and initially unplanned circumstances, which required repeated hearings of some people generated the need to extend the number of people for hearing and need to extend the commission’s term of activity from 90 to 120 days.
The commission set up by the parliament on June 10, 2019 will extend its activity until October 10, after which it will come up with a report in the parliament.
