U.S. dollar gets dearer, euro cheapens against Moldovan leu

Chisinau, 16 August /MOLDPRES/ – In early of upcoming week, the U.S. dollar (USD) gets dearer and European single currency (EUR) cheapens against Moldovan leu (MDL), according to the data stipulated by the National Bank of Moldova (BNM).
Thus, on Monday, 19 August, USD costs MDL 17.54 for $1, by MDL 0.05 more than today. On the other hand, EUR depreciates with MDL 0.07 down to an official price of MDL 19.44 for €1.
The Romanian leu (RON) depreciates by MDL 0.02 down to the value of MDL 04.11 for L1.
As for the Ukrainian hryvnia (UAH), then it keeps its quotation of MDL 0.69 for ₴1, similar like the cost of the Russian rouble (RUB) which constitutes MDL 0.26 for ₽1.
