Local elections in Gagauzia to be held on 20 October

Chisinau, 17 August/MOLDPRES/- The People's Assembly of Gagauzia decided on August 16 that local elections will be held on October 20, along with the general local elections in the Republic of Moldova.
APG ordered the Comrat Electoral Commission to cooperate with the country’s Central Election Commission in organizing elections, gagauzinfo.md said.
On October 20, the mayors, councilors of the village, city and district will be elected. In the Gagauz autonomy, 26 mayors and councilors will be elected in 26 localities.
The election campaign for local elections in autumn will start on August 19.
