Moldovan parliamentary faction has new MP

Chisinau, 20 August /MOLDPRES/ – The faction of the Shor party will have a new member. The Central Election Commission (CEC) has initiated on Tuesday, 20 August, the procedure for the assignment of MP mandate remaining vacant after the departure of legislator, Maria Albot.
In its today meeting, the CEC members took note of applications submitted by the alternate candidates on the list of the Shor party, Inga Vinnik and Vitalii Cusnir, which refused the MP mandate. Thus, the seat left vacant will be occupied by Igor Himici, the next on the list of alternates.
Igor Himici is 44 years old, he is a lawyer and he was authorised representative of the Shor party in Balti municipality.
According to legislation, the vacant term of MP will be assigned to the next immediate substitute from the party list, the social – political organisation or electoral block for which MP whose candidate has been declared vacant has applied. After the Parliament has declared the vacancy of the deputy mandate, the CEC will examine the candidate of alternate candidate and submit it to the Constitutional Court (CC) for validating mandate.
