Ministry of Finance to allocate 4.7 million lei for liquidation of consequences of natural disasters

Chisinau, 21 August /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Finance will allocate from the Government intervention fund, 4.7 million lei for the repair of the roofs of the buildings of social and administrative purpose, damaged by the natural disasters of July 3, 2019, according to a decision of the Cabinet approved on 21 August.

Over 3.87 million lei will be allocated to Basarabeasca district council, the district that suffered the most from the rains in the south of the country.

The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) announced on July 4 that as a result of the bad weather recorded in the south on July 3, the electrical and telecommunications wires in the Basarabeasca district were partially damaged. According to IGSU, the firemen removed three trees, one fell on a gas pipeline from Iserlia in the same district, also slate sheets were removed from the roof of the High School in Basarabeasca city and over 120 slate sheets from the roof of the high school and the culture house in Sadaclia.

According to the government decision, the Ministry of Finance will finance the expenses on the presentation of the confirmatory documents.
