Autumn session of parliament starts today

Chisinau, 2 September /MOLDPRES/- Autumn session of parliament began today and MPs are back to work. A provision to this effect was signed by Speaker Zinaida Greceanîi.

According to the parliament's communications and public relations department, the standing bureau will convene and decide when the first plenary session will be held.

The parliament's spring-summer session ended on July 31, during which 16 plenary sessions were held and 76 laws were adopted. On 1 August, the MPs went on vacation and in mid-August they returned to work and met in an extraordinary session and adopted several projects.

According to the legal provisions, the parliament meets in two ordinary sessions a year. The spring session begins in February and may not exceed the end of July. The autumn session begins in September and may not exceed the end of December.
