Moldovan SP meets officer of business affairs of Qatar

Chisinau, 02 September /MOLDPRES/ – Speaker of Parliament, Zinaida Greceanii, has met with Hamad Rashid H. M. Al – Athba, Plenipotentiary Minister, in charge of Business of the Embassy of Qatar in Moldova, on Monday, 02 September, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

During the meeting, there was an exchange of views regarding the cooperation relations between Moldova and Qatar in various fields.

Referring to commercial – economic dimension, the parties expressed mutual interest in facilitating cooperation in domain and in increasing investments from Qatar to Moldova.

"It is our interest to ensure the protection of investments that we expect to continue to come from your country, and this process can be accelerated, including by signing the Memorandum on avoiding double taxation," said SP.

Also, there were discussed the opportunities to accelerate the interparliamentary cooperation between Moldova and Qatar, during the meeting, Zinaida Greceanii coming with proposal to examine the possibility of creating a parliamentary group of Moldovan – Qatari friendship that would facilitate multidimensional dialogue of citizens of Moldova and Qatar.
