Weather condition changing: Meteorologists announce yellow code of atmospheric instability in Moldova

Chisinau, 03 September /MOLDPRES/ – The State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) has announced for 03 – 04 September, a Yellow Code of atmospheric instability.

According to meteorologists, during the indicated period, there are expected electric discharges, isolated strong showers (15 – 25 l/m2) with hail and wind intensifications in gusts up to 15 – 20 m/s.

Starting Wednesday, 04 September, the weather condition will cool, and the thermometers will indicate an average of up to 28ºC, throughout Moldova this week.

Until 06 September, the Yellow Code of hydrological drought remains in force, and until 05 September – the one of exceptional fire danger.

In case of Yellow Code, the weather conditions are potentially dangerous, the forecasted meteorological phenomena (showers, electric discharges, wind intensifications, high or low temperatures, risk of increases in flows and levels in rivers and streams, etc.) are common for the territory of Moldova, but these may temporarily become dangerous for certain socio – economic activities.
