Earthquake occurred in Romania also felt in Moldova

Chisinau, 03 September /MOLDPRES/ – An earthquake that occurred, on Tuesday, 03 September, in Romania, was also felt in Moldova.
The head of the Centre of Experimental Seismology (CSE) of the Institute of Geology and Seismology (IGS) of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova (ASM), Ion Ilies, has told that the earthquake had a magnitude of 4.9 degrees on the Richter scale. It occurred at 14:52 hours in the seismic zone Vrancea, Romania, at a depth of 113 km.
In Moldova, the earthquake was felt with a magnitude of 02 – 03 degrees, being classified as an earthquake at the limit of sensitivity.
