Leadership of parliamentary commission of inquiry changed in Moldova

Chisinau, 04 September /MOLDPRES/ – MP Mihail Popsoi will be the chairman of the Commission of Inquiry of elucidation of factual and legal circumstances regarding the attempt of unconstitutional coups of the Democrats' party (PDM) made throughout the Constitutional Court (CC) and General Prosecutor's Office (PG). The decision has been approved at the meeting of Parliament, on Wednesday, 04 September.

Also, the position of deputy head of commission will be occupied by MP Vasile Bolea.

So far, the head of commission has been Vladimir Turcan, which has resigned his seat in favour of the position of the chairman of CC.

The commission of inquiry was constituted by Parliament on 18 June. It was to submit a report to Parliament within 120 days, after the end of July, the legislature extended by 60 days the term of activity of commission of inquiry.
