Chisinau, 04 September /MOLDPRES/ – The decision of the Cabinet of Ministers on the repeal of some Government decisions, approved in 2012 – 2013, has no retroactive action and it will not have an effect on existing manager of Chisinau International Airport (AIC). "Until a court decision comes, the contract with the concessionaire remains in force," said after the Executive meeting, on Wednesday, 04 September, Prime Minister, Maia Sandu.

"It is a way in which we bring the legal framework in line with the decision of CC and it comes in the context of the actions that we shall undertake next. And based on info presented by the parliamentary commission, and on the basis of other info presented by state institutions, the Ministry of Justice (MJ) has been working on this case, which will go to court in upcoming days to request the concession contract to be canceled,” said Maia Sandu.

In the meeting of 04 September, the Cabinet of Ministers has repealed 04 Government decisions, approved in 2012 – 2013, regarding the concession of AIC. In particular, there were annulled decisions on initiation of public – private partnership project for concession of state – owned enterprise AIC regarding the approval of the concession of its assets and the conditions for their concession.

Also, there have been abrogated the decisions for approval of the Report on running and results of closed contest for selection of concessionaire of assets of AIC and regarding reconfirmation of approval of concession of its assets. The decisions have been repealed on the grounds that two of them were suspended at the time by CC, and the last decision was taken by a resigned Government.
