Chisinau, 6 September /MOLDPRES/ - Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Minister Georgeta Mincu and employees of the National Centre for Verification of Alcoholic Production Quality (CNVCPA) discussed the assessment of products’ conformity, continuous development and advanced technical endowment, enhancing the competitiveness of the staff, continuous optimization of the testing and certification system at a meeting on 5 September.
The visit’s goal was to learn the priorities of the institution’s work, monitor the labour conditions of experts in laboratories, equipment, services provided, their price, including the challenges in activity.
According to the Centre’s employees, the main challenge in the work represents the prices for services. The CNVCPA specialists demanded their revision, given that the institution’s tariffs have not been updated since 2009.
”I am happy to notice that the laboratory works in good conditions; you have big and clean rooms, modern equipment to test the alcoholic production and certify it for export and sale on the domestic market. The services are provided at a professional level, according to the international rules, which means that the Moldovan wine products, in line with the laboratory tests, have the quality worth being present on foreign markets. I have come here to learn about the institution’s work, note the problems you are facing and look together for the most efficient solutions,” Georgeta Mincu said.
At the same time, the minister took knowledge about the mobile equipment owned by the Centre, which tests the content of quicksilver in air, as well as about opportunities of providing services to this end. “I recommend that you promote the services of the Centre also for exporters to China, through translation of the laboratory report and the accreditation certificate into the Chinese language,” the official stressed.
The state enterprise, National Centre for Verification of Alcoholic Production Quality, was created in order to optimize the system of verification of the alcoholic production quality, according to a cabinet decision from 2006. The centre’s history started in December 1946, when the first wine-making laboratory was set up in the post-war Moldova, who worked successfully on all next period.
