New grants programme launched for Moldova's Diaspora

Chisinau, 6 September /MOLDPRES/ - The Diaspora Relations Bureau (BRD) of Moldova’s State Chancellery has launched a new round of grants within the DIASPORA ENGAGEMENT HUB (DEH) Programme for Diaspora’s innovative projects sub-programme. The deadline for submitting the files is 15 September 2019.
Projects of Diaspora specialists will be financed within the concerned sub-programme, in order to implement innovating projects and activities in various sectors in Moldova, based on transfer of knowledge, experience and good international practices. The deadline of the project’s implementation is from two weeks up to two months.
Grants worth 50,000 lei each will be provided for this category.
Such fields will be eligible for financing as: education, medicine and health, culture and arts, business administration, information technologies and communications, urban and rural development, architecture and design, engineering, scientific research, social entrepreneurship, public administration, communication, journalism and public relations.
The projects can be submitted only by Diaspora members, citizens of Moldova, and activities are to be carried out only in Moldova. People interested in the sub-programme will submit the files through an online form. The files which are not accompanied by all documents demanded in the appeal for project proposals will not be regarded eligible and will not be presented to the evaluation commission.
The grants’ winners will be announced both personally and on the BRD’s official webpage and will get information support on behalf of the institution for the successful implementation of projects.
DEH is a programme of topic-related grants meant for citizens born in Moldova, who live abroad, and is carried out with the financial assistance of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, within the programmne, Consolidation of Moldova’s institutional capacity in the migration and development sector, the second stage. The programme’s goal is to back Moldovans from abroad in the implementation of their ideas in Moldova and turn to good account Diaspora’s human capital.
