European official to come to Chisinau next week

Chisinau, 13 September /MOLDPRES/ - Director-General for Neigbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations at the European Commission Christian Danielsson will pay a visit to Chisinau on 16-17 September, to discuss the progress of reforms in the key sectors of the Association Agreement.

The official will confirm the EU’s commitment to provide Moldova with support, based on a sustained implementation of reforms, a press release reads.

During the visit, Christian Danielsson will have meetings with Prime Minister Maia Sandu, President Igor Dodon and Parliament Speaker Zinaida Grecianii. The EU official will also have discussions with partners of the International Financial Institution, representatives of the civil society and business community.

The visit’s agenda also includes meetings with civil society’s representatives for public discussions on the future of the Eastern Partnership.

OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger is expected to come to Chisinau next week too.
