Twenty five polling stations to be opening for new parliamentary polls in district No 48 of Moldova

Chisinau, 13 September /MOLDPRES/ - The citizens with right to vote from the uninominal electoral district No 48 (which includes the Slobozia town, Tiraspol and bender cities) will be expected to vote at one of those 25 polling stations due to be opened for the new parliamentary polls, due on 20 October 2019. The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) established the number of the polling stations today.
According to CEC, the Interior Ministry, based on the powers it has in line with the provisions of the electoral legislation, will undertake all needed measures to maintain public order in the settlements where the polling stations created will be headquartered.
At the same time, to guarantee the security of the voting process at the polling stations placed in the Security Zone, CEC appeals to all national, international observers and the Joint Control Commission, to monitor the peaceful holding of the electoral process at the concerned polling stations.
New parliamentary polls will be organized at four uninominal electoral districts concomitantly with the local general polls on 20 October 2019. The residents of the central Nisporeni district, district No 17, where Vladimir Plahotniuc was elected, the ones of the district No 33, where Andrei Nastase was voted, those from the district No 48, where Viorel Melnic was elected and the ones of the uninominal district No 50, where Maia Sandu was elected, are expected to come to vote.
