Station of firefighters opened in southern city of Moldova

Chisinau, 15 September /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister, Maia Sandu, along with U.S. Ambassador, Dereck J. Hogan, attended the inauguration of the firefighters' and rescue station in Taraclia city, on Saturday, 14 September. The unit was equipped with the support of the European Command of the U.S. Armed Forces, and the total value of the investment is $423,770, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
"This is an example of how things can be realised and most importantly, these large investments can be used in the interest of citizen. The citizen must know that he is safe and whenever he needs you, you will arrive on time and give them all the necessary support”, said PM Maia Sandu.
Maia Sandu noted that the station has been equipped with modern facilities, good conditions and outfitted spaces for training employees. The PM also said that she wished the fire station to ensure effectively the safety and security of inhabitants of Taraclia city and the region.
The firefighters' and rescue station in Taraclia city is the Xth project of its kind realised in Moldova with the support of the European Command of the U.S. Armed Forces.
