Moldovan SP attends republican festival of ethnicities

Chisinau, 15 September /MOLDPRES/ – Speaker of Parliament, Zinaida Greceanii, has attended 18th issue of the Republican Festival of Ethnicity: Unity through diversity, inaugurated, on Sunday, 15 September, in Public Garden Stefan cel Mare si Sfant in Chisinau municipality, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

Zinaida Greceanii has visited the ethnic courts, exhibitions and declared that the festival represents a good opportunity for intercultural dialogue of all ethnic groups of Moldova. Also, the SP considers that the event is an opportunity to promote culture, traditions, garments and cuisine of ethnic minorities.

Similarly, the speaker has discussed with representatives of ethnocultural organisations, present at festival, admired diversity of exhibited heritage and tasted from the dishes of ethnic minorities.

Today, on the main stage of the festival, it will be presented a musical – literary performance with participation of artistic collectives of ethnocultural organisations of Chisinau and districts of Moldova. This year, it is presented an artistic collage with traditional elements of ethnic culture, including language, port, dance, etc.

The XVIIIth issue of event is organised by the Interethnic Relations Agency (ARI), in partnership with Coordinating Council of Ethnocultural Organisations (CCOE) and Chisinau City Hall (PC).
