Moldovan Socialists launch electoral campaign for local elections

Chisinau, 16 September /MOLDPRES/- The Party of Socialists (PSRM) launched electoral campaign for the general local elections on 20 October.

The event took place on 15 September. During the event, the national electoral platform of the PSRM and the candidate teams, nominated by the party for mayors and local councillors positions in several localities of the country were presented.

PSRM leader Zinaida Greceanîi noted that 729 candidates for mayors were appointed from the formation, 1108 candidates for district councilors and over 9000 candidates for local councilors.

The event was also attended by President Igor Dodon, presented as an informal leader of the Socialist Party. He mentioned that people in the country want change locally.

898 mayors and 11,580 local councilors will be elected at the local elections on October 20, of which 1,108 district / municipal councilors and 10,472 village and city councilors.
