About two thousand polling stations to be open for local elections

Chisinau, 16 September /MOLDPRES/- 1,969 polling stations will be opened for local elections on 20 October.
According to the Central Election Commission (CEC), most polling stations are located in Chisinau constituencies no.1, comprising the sectors and suburbs of the capital, where 307 sections will be created, Orhei no.25, where 83 sections will operate, Ungheni no.35 and Soroca no.29, where 78 and 74 sections will be opened respectively.
On the other hand, the fewest polling stations will be opened in the electoral districts Dubăsari no.15 and Basarabeasca no.5.
On 20 October at the same time as general local elections, new parliamentary elections will be organized in four constituencies.
Under these conditions, the CEC announced that 50 polling stations from the uninominal constituency (CEU) no.17 Nisporeni and 27 polling stations from CEU no.33 Chisinau will also conduct electoral operations specific to the parliamentary elections.
At the same time, another 25 polling stations were organized for voters in the localities on the left bank of the Dniester, Bender and some localities in Causeni district, in CEU no.48. Abroad in the CEU no.50, 85 polling stations will be opened.
The polling stations' electoral commissions are to be set up by 24 September 2019.
