Weather to cool in Moldova this week

Chisinau, 16 September /MOLDPRES/ - Meteorologists have forecast a sharp decrease in air temperatures this week.
According to the State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS), starting from 17 September, the air temperature will drop under +25 Celsius degrees during the day and to +5 degrees at night.
At the same time, on 20-21 September, maximal air temperatures of +18 degrees are expected in southern Moldova and +16 degrees in the northern region. Also in north Moldova, the air temperature will decrease to +3 degrees at night. The weather will be characterized by variable cloud, with no precipitation, excepting the northern region, where light short rains are forecast on 17 and 18 September.
This week fits into evaluations of SHS specialists, who say that “from the meteorological viewpoint, the summer continues, on average, till 12-23 September, when the daily average air temperature passes through +15 Celsius degrees towards dropping.” Contacted by MOLDPRES, SHS sources said that this cooling was something normal for the season and there would still be warm days this autumn.
The popular meteorology, which says that “a dry September keeps winter far away,” confirms this fact.
Physicians warn the meteo-sensitive people, especially those with chronic diseases, that a sharp change of the air temperature by ten degrees can hit the health condition. Or, to avoid problems in this respect, it is good for these persons to be more cautious to the regime and stricter observe usual physician’s instructions.
