Children with special needs from south Moldova Gagauz autonomy to receive special winter footwear for free

Chisinau, 17 September /MOLDPRES/ - More than 300 children with pathologies of the locomotor apparatus from the Autonomous Territorial Unit Gagauz-Yeri (UTA Gagauz-Yeri) will receive winter footwear free of charge. The charity project is carried out with the help of the Max face possible Foundation from the Netherlands and the education department of the autonomy’s executive body.
The director of centre for the psycho-social support from the autonomy’s Vulcanesti town, Nadejda Mocan, has said that, two years ago, a similar project had been already implemented in the region. At that time, 325 children with various diseases of the locomotor apparatus and from disadvantaged families benefited from footwear for the cold season.
„This year, we will also provide with footwear more that 300 children from the autonomy. Engineers of the factory which make this special footwear came to the region and took needed measures, taking into account the individual features of the beneficiaries. At the same time, along with parents, they established the colour and model of the footwear, after which specialists started working,” Nadejda Mocan said, cited by the website www.gagauzinfo.md.
The materials for making the footwear are produced in Italy. The footwear is to be brought to UTA Gagauz-Yeri in late next October.
