Moldovan Democratic Party nominates candidate for Chisinau mayor office

Chisinau, 18 September /MOLDPRES/ - MP Vladimir Cebotari is the candidate of the Moldovan Democratic Party (PDM) for the Chisinau mayor office. PDM made statements to this effect in a press release issued today.
According to the Democrats, Vladimir Cebotari will submit the documents for the registration in the polls on 19 September.
Vladimir Cebotari was born in the Sadaclia village, southern Basarabeasca district, on 7 November 1980. He is married and has two children.
Starting from December 2011 till June 2013, Cebotari was director of Moldova’s Civil Aviation Authority. Afterwards, he held the office of deputy transports minister and the one of head of the administrative board of the state enterprise MoldATSA. During April 2015-June 2015, Cebotari acted as director general of the state enterprise Railway of Moldova and on 30 July 2015, he was sworn in the position of justice minister in the Strelet cabinet. Presently, Cebotari is lawmaker.
So far, more political formations have announced their candidates for the office of mayor of Moldova’s capital. The polls will be held on 20 October 2019 and the deadline for submitting the documents for candidates’ registration expires on 19 September.
