Deadline for paying income tax by installments expires on 25 September

Chisinau, 19 September /MOLDPRES/- The State Tax Service (SFS) warned that the deadline for paying the income tax in installments for the third quarter of 2019 is 25 September.

Thus, the economic agents applying the general tax system (12% of taxable income) are required to pay the tax that would be paid for the previous year or 1/4 of the amount calculated as tax to be paid for 2019.

According to the Tax Code, non-payment or incomplete payment of income tax by installments is fined.

According to the data of the Information System of the SFS, the declaration on income tax for the fiscal period 2018 was presented by 37354 economic agents, out of which 18430 predicted the payment of the income tax in installments in total amount of 1.9 billion lei in nine months of 2019, which represents 84 per cent of total amount.
