Acting prosecutor asks lifting parliamentary immunity of two MPs

Chisinau, 19 September /MOLDPRES/- Acting prosecutor Dumitru Robu today asked lifting of the parliamentary immunity of Democratic MP Vladimir Cebotari and MP of Shor Party Petru Jardan.
The Prosecutor's request is currently being examined by the legal commission on rules and immunities.
The leader of the Democratic Party of Moldova, Pavel Filip, announced the leadership of the Parliament that the entire faction of Democrats wants to give up parliamentary immunity to relieve the Prosecutor General of the obligation to come to parliament.
On 16 September, MPs decided to lift the parliamentary immunity of lawmakers of Shor faction Marina Tauber and Reghina Apostolova.
