Examination of request on lifting immunity of Petru Jardan postponed

Chisinau, 19 September /MOLDPRES/- Members of the legal committee on rules and immunities decided today to postpone the examination of the request of acting prosecutor to lift the immunity of MP of Shor Party Petru Jardan.

Committee chairman Sergiu Litvinenco said that the decision was taken because the MP is not in the country and cannot express his opinion on this request.

The request will be examined tomorrow, although on official page Petru Jardan announced he will return to the country only on Monday or Tuesday.

Also today, acting prosecutor Dumitru Robu called for the lifting of parliamentary immunity of Democratic MP Vladimir Cebotari, on the grounds that he "would have directly contributed to taking over of Chisinau Airport".
