Moldovan speaker meets Russian delegation

Chisinau, 20 September /MOLDPRES/- Speaker Zinaida Greceanii received the delegation from the Kursk Region, the Russian Federation, which includes deputy head of Regional Duma Vladimir Ivanov and the head of the Cultural Center Community of Moldovans in Kursk, Elena Bulhac, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

The delegation is in Chisinau to attend the Moldovan-Russian Economic Forum.

The meeting focused on boosting the dialogue between Moldova and Russia in various areas, especially the economic one.

In this context, it was welcomed the resumption of the activity of the Moldovan-Russian Intergovernmental Commission for economic cooperation.

The speaker stressed the importance of regional cooperation and Russian investments in the economy of the Republic of Moldova.

For his part, Vladimir Ivanov pointed out that the recent efforts of the authorities and businessmen in both countries are having concrete economic effects, and the positive dynamics of trade are recorded.

The meeting was attended by the head of the Commission for Culture, Education, Research, Youth, Sport and Media, Adrian Lebedinschi, a member of the Friendship Group of the Republic of Moldova - Russia.
