Moldovan parliament speaker says parliament attaches special importance to multi-dimensional cooperation in Black Sea Region

Chisinau, 21 October /MOLDPRES/ - ”Moldova’s parliament attaches a special importance to the process of multidimensional cooperation in the Black Sea Region,” Parliament Speaker Zinaida Grecianii today said at the opening of the 53rd meeting of the Cultural, Education and Social Affairs Committee of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Parliamentary Assembly (BSEC PA), the parliament’s communication and public relations has reported.
The speaker said that BSEC PA represented a quite valuable platform for holding a dialogue and strengthening efforts for turning to good account the current economic potential between the member states. At the same time, this regional institution represents a fundamental forum for exchanging opinions and visions on more issues of common interest.
Zinaida Greceanii welcomed the fact that the title of this meeting was dedicated to the issue of reducing the unemployment and to social and economic development of the member countries.
”Moldova’s parliament assigns a major importance to efforts to reduce the joblessness, which is reflected through the implementation of the national employment strategy for 2017-2021. The strategy’s goal is to enhance the level of formal employment based on economic competitiveness, proper competence and qualifications in conditions of sustainable development and inclusion. The objective is ensured by the creation of opportunities of formal, non-discriminatory and productive employment, development of human capital for enhanced chances for employment, a better governance of the labour market and turning to account of migration’s potential for sustainable development,” the parliament speaker said.
The speaker noted that the new law in the employment sector and unemployment insurance entered into force in February 2019; the law establishes a policy of proper measures of labour force employment, such as short-term courses of professional training, training at the place of work for the unemployed people who do not have a profession, professional strategy for jobless people without working experience, subsidized employment for backing the employment of people from vulnerable groups, etc.
”I would like to voice hope that this meeting will allow our states finding new solutions to the problems we are facing. Presently, we are in a unique historical period, when unlimited opportunities for the development of our countries appear in our space, and no artificial and unjustified barriers should appear between us for the free movement of human capital and economic capital,” Zinaida Grecianii stressed.
In the end, the parliament speaker reiterated that Moldova was promoting a balanced foreign policy and was speaking out for maintaining good relations with all states, based on respect and mutually advantageous collaboration.
Moldova’s parliament on 21-22 October hosts the 53rd meeting of the Cultural, Education and Social Affairs Committee of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Parliamentary Assembly, which brought together MPs from ten member states of the organization.
