Heating season starts in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 21 October /MOLDPRES/ - The heating season started in the Moldovan capital today. The acting general mayor of Chisinau, Adrian Talmaci, has signed an instruction to this end.
The decision was taken after average air temperatures of +10 Celsius degrees had been recorded at night.
Under the instruction, the enterprises Termoelectrica and Apa-Canal Chisinau will ensure the connection of the units of the municipal dwellings’ fund to the centralized heating supply system, according to the contracts signed. At the same time, the Chisinau district praetor’s offices and the housing, utility and arrangement administration, the managers of the dwellings fund with any form of ownership, economic agents and other consumers of thermal energy will prepare the concerned objects for the reception of the thermal agent.
At the weekly meeting of the Chisinau city hall’s services, the head of the Education Department, Rodica Gutu, said that the kindergartens from the Centru and Rascani district of Chisinau today had been connected to the heating supply and the early education institutions from the other districts of the capital are to be connected to heating on 22 October. At the same time, in schools, the thermal agent will be supplied after the pupils’ autumn holidays.
For the next days, meteorologists forecast maximum air temperatures up to +24 Celsius degrees during the day. At night, the air temperatures will not be higher than +10 degrees.
Last year, the heating season started in the capital on 15 October.
