Romania's parliament to be next host of meeting of Cultural, Education and Social Affairs Committee of Black Sea Economic Cooperation Parliamentary Assembly

Chisinau, 22 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Cultural, Education and Social Affairs Committee of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Parliamentary Assembly (BSEC PA) has ended its works at the 53rd meeting, held in Chisinau on 21-22 October. The forum was hosted by Moldova’s parliament, the legislative body’s communication and public relations general department has reported.    

Delegations of the parliaments from those ten states participating in the meeting adopted a report titled, Unemployment in BSEC member states. State’s role in the promotion of jobs’ creation, as well as a draft recommendation on this report, which is to be submitted for discussions at the BSEC PA’s General Assembly.   

At the same time, at the meeting in Chisinau, the BSEC PA’s Cultural, Education and Social Affairs Committee re-elected Metin Gündoğdu on behalf of Turkey’s parliament as head of the committee for a two-year mandate.

Also, the participants in the meeting ruled that the next meeting of the Committee would be held in Bucharest on 1-2 April 2020.

The BSEC PA’s Cultural, Education and Social Affairs Committee is one of the three standing committees of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Parliamentary Assembly. Another two ones are the Economic, Commercial, Technological and Environmental Affairs Committee and the Legal and Political Affairs Committee. Moldova is represented in all the three committees.  

BSEC PA is made up of 76 MPs, who represent all the 11 member states of the Black Economic Cooperation Organization: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Turkey and Ukraine. Another six states have status of observer: Egypt, Israel, France, Germany, Slovakia and Belarus.
