Moldovan president attends enthronement ceremony in Japan

Chisinau, 23 October /MOLDPRES/- President Igor Dodon together with First Lady Galina Dodon and more than 2,000 guests from 180 countries attended a ceremony of appointment of His Imperial Majesty, Naruhito of Japan, the presidential press service has reported.

The head of state said that Japan is one of the Asian states with which Moldova builds bilateral cooperation relations based on common values - democracy, rule of law and market economy.

The current visit of the Moldovan president to Tokyo, held for the first time since the establishment of the Moldovan-Japanese diplomatic relations, reconfirms our desire to boost the bilateral dialogue at all levels.

On this occasion, at the State Reception, hosted by the Japanese Imperial Family, Dodon invited the Royal Family to visit our country in convenient time.
