State to provide170 thousand lei to support youth programs at local level

Chisinau, 23 October /MOLDPRES/- Financial resources amounting to 170.0 thousand lei will be granted from the state budget to support the grant programs for local youth initiatives in Soroca and Ungheni districts, according to a decision approved at a today’s cabinet meeting.

The Ministry of Finance will allocate the respective amount from the means provided for in the state budget to the local public administration authorities. The use of the distributed means will be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the partnership agreements regarding the development of youth centers, signed between the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research and the district councils.

The project’s goal is to increase the level of civic activism young people, including among those with reduced opportunities by developing mechanisms to support the initiatives of young people at community level.
