Moldovan government starts contest for office of member of Superior Council of Prosecutors from civil society's representatives

Chisinau, 24 October /MOLDPRES/ - The government has started the contest for the selection and appointment of a member of the Superior Council of Prosecutors (CSP) from civil society’s representatives. The deadline for submitting the files expires on 31 October 2019 at 14:00.
Under the legal provisions, the candidate must have higher juridical education, must have at least three years of experience in the law field and should enjoy an irreproachable reputation. At the same time, the candidates who have not been declared guilty of committing an offence, who do not have non-extinguished disciplinary sanctions and who do not carry out another remunerated work, excepting teaching, creation, scientific, sports activity, as well as activity in public associations, will be eligible.
The candidates wishing to apply for this position must submit, personally or by email, the file on participation in the contest, which should contain including a motivation letter and a curriculum vitae, as well as a letter of recommendation of the organization they are members of or with which they cooperate.
The candidates will be evaluated based on the files submitted.
CSP is made up of 15 members. Four of them are elected by contest from civil society’s representatives by the Moldovan president, parliament, government and Academy of Sciences of Moldova.
