Moldova appreciates highly support of Sweden

Chisinau, 24 October /MOLDPRES/ – Moldova appreciates highly the partnership relationship of Moldova and Sweden. Moldova benefits from the full support of various Swedish programmes, including for the Parliament of Moldova, the impact of which is felt by the citizens of Moldova. The statement was made by Moldovan Speaker of Parliament, Zinaida Greceanii, at the meeting with her Swedish counterpart, Andreas Norlén.

According to the parliament’s communication and public relations department, the Moldovan speaker and President of the Riksdag of Sweden have made a wide exchange of views on the evolution of partnership and cooperation between two countries. The Swedish official underlined the full support for reforms in Moldova and opted for intensified economic trade between Moldova and Sweden.

Zinaida Greceanii expressed gratitude for the valuable assistance granted to Moldova through the Swedish Agency for International Development (AIDS) in various fields.

The parties agreed to continue bilateral cooperation on all dimensions, including at local level.

Particularly, it was discussed the interparliamentary cooperation. The Moldovan Speaker was convinced that the summit of SPs in the Nordic and Baltic States (NB8), to be hosted in December by Moldova, would contribute to a better collaboration between the legislative forums of our states.

The meeting between the two speakers took place in Strasbourg, within the European Conference of SPs.
