Dual Education Day organized in southern Moldova

Chisinau, 26 October /MOLDPRES/- Dual Education Day is organized on 26 October in Rosu village, Cahul district. The event, which reached its third edition, is dedicated to young people, future graduates of the high school, who intend to choose a professional way.

The young people will be guided by representatives of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research (MECC), the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ), as well as by the dual partners - economic agents and representatives of the technical vocational education institutions from the districts of Cahul, Leova and Ceadâr-Lunga.

All visitors to the event are invited to participate in 15 scientific and fun workshops, with different themes - robotics, computers, accounting, electromechanics, kitchen, etc.

This year, for the first time, one of the largest employers in the Southern region and partner in dual training - the Draexlmaier Cahul auto parts manufacturing plant - opens its doors for the curious. The young people will have the opportunity to participate in a trip through the production department and the modern workshop for training the pupils from the dual programs.

"This event aims to become a common information and cooperation platform: for young people, representatives of educational institutions, for companies involved in dual education programs at national level, as well as for public authorities," said the organizers.

It was launched in May 2018 and aims to inform young people widely about the opportunities and benefits of dual education. The campaign is implemented by the MECC, with the support of GIZ, in the project "Promotion of Technical Vocational Education for a Green Economy", funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
