U.S. dollar appreciates, euro cheapens against Moldovan leu

Chisinau, 29 October /MOLDPRES/ – The value of U.S. dollar (USD) appreciates by MDL 0.01, while the cost of European single currency (EUR) cheapens by MDL 0.01 against the value of Moldovan leu (MDL), according to the official exchange rates for Wednesday, 30 October, provided by the National Bank of Moldova (BNM).

Thus, USD costs MDL 17.53 for $1, and EUR – MDL 19.43 for €1.

As for the exchange rate of Romanian leu (RON), the BNM has established an official price of MDL 04.08 for L1, the same quote as the one registered today. The same trend preserves the costs of Russian rouble (RUB) and Ukrainian hryvnia (UAH). Thus, UAH continues to cost MDL 0.69 for ₴1, and RUB remains at the price of MDL 0.27 for ₽1.

The official exchange rate represents the price of MDL against the currencies of foreign states. It is calculated on the basis of the exchange rates set by the licenced banks in the transactions of buying/selling the currencies performed with their customers and with other banks.
