Moldovan – American commission for economic cooperation holds meeting in Chisinau

Chisinau, 29 October /MOLDPRES/ – The representatives of the United States of America and Moldova have met, on Tuesday, 29 October, in Chisinau municipality, at IVth session of the Moldovan – American joint commission for economic cooperation (CMMACE). During the event, Moldova has announced the intention to create an economic office in USA.
The Minister of Economy and Infrastructure, Vadim Brinzan and Assistant to the US Trade Representative for Europe and the Middle East, Daniel Mullaney, have mentioned that the regularity of these meetings demonstrates the power of bilateral relations and underlines the commitment of both sides to increase bilateral trade and improve the investment climate in Moldova.
At the meeting, the representatives of Government have identified some concrete steps to ensure access to the market of Moldova of American products.
Regarding the business environment, the delegations have discussed the priority reforms in Moldova and intention to create a favourable environment for international investments. Thus, the Government of Moldova reconfirmed its interest to develop an investment evaluation mechanism and strengthen cyber security.
According to the MEI's information and media communication service, the United States of America and Moldova will continue to engage in promotion of bilateral dialogue so as to identify concrete solutions in case of commercial and investment impediments, as well as identify strategies for promoting investment projects.
