State checks over economic activity to be planned from 1 January 2020

Chisinau, 30 October /MOLDPRES/- Starting from 1 January 2020, the state controls on the activity of entrepreneurs will be planned and performed exclusively in the State Register of Controls. The issue was considered at a meeting of the National Council for settling disputes held at the government.

According to a report presented at the meeting, about 70% of state controls carried out in 2018 were unannounced and only 30% - planned. The gap dissatisfied Secretary General of Government Andrei Spînu, who requested that in the future, most state controls over economic activity should be planned and not vice versa.

"The dissatisfaction of the people with the control bodies is very high, and their confidence in the state institutions is extremely low. State controls should not be a stumbling block for entrepreneurs and no source of encouragement for corruption, ”said Andrei Spînu.

The data presented in the report for the first six months of 2019 also shows that the number of planned checks for the whole year, 28 thousand checks, has already been exceeded in the first half of the year, being carried out about 32 thousand checks. In this context, the official asked that next year, the controls should be organized in an organized manner, with the purpose of informing and not sanctioning. In addition, all actions should be included in the State Register of Controls.

"I hope that from 2020 all the checks will be carried out as planned in the register,” Spînu said.

The National Agency for Food Safety - over 30 thousand controls, the State Tax Service - almost 19 thousand and the National Agency for Public Health, which carried out about 11 thousand controls, are among the top institutions that carried out most state controls last year.
