Meteorologists forecast frost of -3 Celsius degrees at night in Moldova

Chisinau, 30 October /MOLDPRES/ - The State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) has forecast sunny weather and frost to -3 Celsius degrees.

According to meteorologists, on 31 October - 2 November, the weather will cool. Thus, starting from next Thursday till Saturday, the highest average air temperatures will be +10 degrees during the day and -3 degrees at night. The lowest air temperatures will be recorded, as usual, in northern Moldova.

The cooling will be accompanied by sunny weather which, according to SHS, will characterize the second half of this week.

The weather will warm starting from 3 November, with the air temperatures increasing to +20 Celsius degrees. The same air temperatures will maintain in the beginning of the next week as well.

November is the last month of the year, when positive air temperatures are recorded in the multiannual series of observations: from +2 degrees in north Moldova to +5 degrees in the southern regions. The coldest November of all the period of measurement was registered in 1993, when the average monthly air temperature varied between -1.8 degrees (Comrat, Cahul) and -3.3 degrees (Briceni). The warmest November was in 2010, when the average monthly air temperature oscillated between +8.2 degrees (Briceni) and +11.1 degrees (Cahul).
