Moldovan top court validates mandates of four MPs

Chisinau, 31 October /MOLDPRES/- The Constitutional Court confirmed today the results of the parliamentary elections in the constituencies No17, 33, 48 and 50, and validated the mandates of the four MPs elected on 20 October.
Thus, instead of the former leader of PDM Vlad Plahotniuc, Ghenadie Verdeș, the candidate (PDM), will make it to parliament, with 13,401 votes.
Instead of the PPDA leader, Andrei Nastase, the candidate of ACUM bloc, Vasile Nastase, who won most votes in the constituency No33, will make it to parliament.
In the constituency No50, where Prime Minister Maia Sandu won in the February elections, most votes were got by candidate of ACUM bloc Galina Sajin.
Instead of Viorel Melnic, an independent candidate, PSRM candidate Vitalii Evtodiev will come to parliament.
The citizens of the four uninominal constituencies on 20 October elected their representatives in the legislature. The parliamentary seats were vacant after two MPs resigned and two others gave up their mandates due to incompatibility of functions.
