Moldovan PM says cabinet commits to fulfill all steps contained in Association Agreement

Chisinau, 26 November /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu today had an open dialogue with Ambassador of Germany to Moldova Angela Ganninger. The PM informed the German diplomat about the current cabinet’s action programme, as well as the executive body’s priority actions for the next period, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
„We are set to change the things in the economic sector, by attracting as many as possible foreign investments into Moldova. The justice reform is essential for us at this moment and we are fully committed on this segment,” the prime minister said.
Ambassador of Germany to Moldova Angela Ganninger appreciated the progress made in the justice reform field so far and voiced hope that the processes would continue developing to this end, transparently and democratically.
At the same time, the sides discussed the government’s vision as to the ensuring of mass media’s freedom. In the context, Ion Chicu noted that concrete measures concerning the media independence and freedom would be contained in the government’s Action Plan, due to be launched in several days.
In the end of the meeting, PM Ion Chicu thanked the German state for the support provided and financial assistance offered to Moldova during time. At the same time, the prime minister expressed confidence that the friendship and cooperation relations on the economic, social and cultural segments between Moldova and Germany would be boosted.
